Abstract

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) - the, so-called, drones, are changing the way of work of many professionals. Drones are characterised by small dimensions, relatively low prices, simple navigation and the wide possible applications; this results in growing interests in their use. In the process of real estate validation a real estate expert is obliged to perform the site inspection and to analyse a real estate with respect to its surroundings and to prepare a report of those operations. It should be assumed that the use of UAVs, able to automatically fly above selected areas will become a part of the real estate validation process. The paper will discuss the possibilities to use unmanned aerial vehicles for those purposes. Problems and benefits which may be expected when UAVs are used for evaluation of current conditions of a real estate and surrounding areas, being the obligatory stage of the validation process.
