THE CONCEPTION OF A METHOD OF ANALYZING BUSINESS ACTIVITIES AS PART OF THE PROCESS OF DEVELOPING INFORMATION SYSTEMS.

Abstract

The paper discusses issues related to the optimization and improvement of the quality of the process of developing information systems. In particular, the purpose of this work is to study the process of analyzing the activities of an enterprise. This work conducted a study on methods for extracting information about the activities of the enterprise. The study is showed that there is a set of methods to analyze the activities of the enterprise. Methods such as a round table, brainstorming, interviewing, observation, personal participation method, document analysis method were studied. The use of these methods does not provide an opportunity to obtain a general view of the enterprise activities, reflecting the work algorithm of employees and the structure of documents that they use in their business activities. It is also worth noting that the methods considered involve the participation of business analyst - a third party that can distort the view of the enterprise activities. In this paper, we introduced the concept of a method for analyzing business activities based on an understanding of how employees process artifacts of business processes. As artifacts in this work, we consider text documents that are used in the business activities of the enterprise. The proposed method implies a deeper involvement of the user in the process of developing an information system, which eliminates business analysts and ultimately will reduce the number of errors that occur at the stage of analysis of the activities of an enterprise. In general, the application of the proposed method will improve the quality of the developed information systems.
