EVALUATION OF SUBSIDY PROGRAMS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC AND THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC FOR REDUCING THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF THE BUILDINGS
Abstract
Investment in the insulation of houses is a topical issue nowadays, as the costs associated with heating make up a significant part of operating costs. Therefore, thermal insulation can be understood as a form of long-term investment, which main goal is to reduce energy performance and thus the operating costs required for housing. In recent years, it has been possible to observe the global effort to reduce daily energy consumption both in the construction sector and in other sectors. It should be borne in mind that this effort arose due to a number of factors, but in particular to the fact that the production and subsequent consumption of energy generates a large amount of greenhouse gases, which negatively affect the environment and cause global warming. Last but not least, the total amount of fossil fuels on Earth is limited and so the growing population is putting natural pressure on rising energy prices. At present, the governments both in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic are trying to support insulation by the form of state subsidies precisely to reduce the impact of the above-mentioned factors on the population. The aim of the article is to assess the economic efficiency of insulation of a reference house using a state subsidy within the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. The output of the article is the design of a variant solution of the contact thermal insulation system of a house, calculation of the amount of the subsidy in the case of its implementation in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic and the final assessment of economic efficiency of insulation in the case of using subsidy programmes in the Czech Republic and in the Slovak Republic.
