ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CRYOGENIC GRAVEL FILTERS
Abstract
The article discusses the advantages of using cryogenic technology in the production of gravel filter elements. A method for calculating the main components for the production of temporarily monolithic annular gravel elements is described. An approach has been developed for the strength analysis of annular gravel filter bits, taking into account installation conditions and the effect of water flow in the aquifer. An analytical calculation was performed to determine the distribution of gravel packing in the behind-screen space after the destruction of monolithic gravel discs. Recommendations are proposed to increase the volume of gravel packing by supplying an additional portion of gravel. The materials of the article are of practical value and can be used in the design of water intake well structures.
