Abstract

According to the general and scientific, evaluation, the main limited factor of open pit mining development in 21st century will be besides the ecology, the consumption of energy and material in the mineral mining process. The subject matter of this paper is related to a definition of contemporary methods of following-up the energy and material consumption what could be considered as the main scientific - research trend in open pit mining in a sense of total costs reduction and higher productivity.
