Abstract

The need to develop an integrated testing system for explosion-protected construction equipment with the type of protection "p" arose from practical considerations. The use of a mobile, versatile and adaptable system for the field performance of tests specific to this type of protection applied to explosion-protected construction equipment brings several novel advantages, the most important of which are: grouping all the test equipment required for the tests, elimination of measurement errors by performing several tests in the same test configuration, shortening of the preparation time for performing all the tests required by the specific technical standard, and automation in the acquisition and transfer of test data for subsequent use in the preparation of the final test reports. This will form the basis for assessing equipment with protection type "p" in preparation for certification for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. This integrated mobile test system for Ex type of protection 'p' shall meet the requirements for testing to the level and accuracy specified in the specific standard.
