CHANGE VALUE ANALYSIS OF NATURAL AREA INDICATOR IN POLISH MUNICIPALITIES BEASED ON LANDUSE

Abstract

Human activity is manifested by continuous changes in space use. Adapting the space to suit ones needs and expectations, human activity is changing physiognomy but also even more often the quality changes of the space. The article presents an attempt how to define the direction and intensity of these changes using developed indicators of environmental quality. The authors attempted to determine the change in the environmental value of the Polish municipalities, taking as input the land cover CLC database. The analysis ware done in 2006 and 2012. During this period, based on indicators level of man-made environment the quality changes of the natural space was calculated. The survey covered by Polish municipalities in total nubmer 3800 objects in which the observed change in surface of land cover are occurred in appointed period of time. For the purpose of the work indicators were exploited by the Federal Republic of Germany to specify the amounts of compensation for change of landuse. Method was taken from the planning system in Saxony. Presented indicators are simplified evaluation of the quality of the natural environment, which is outcoming from the use of this space. The results of the analysis show variations in the quality of the natural environment Polish municipalities in relation to the forms of space use.
