NEW PLANT TAKSONS FOR THE REPUBLIC OF KOSOVA

Abstract

During the research of flora and vegetation of Sharri Mountains we have found five new taxons for Kosovo’s flora. As part of the Sharri Mountains we have also researched Mushtisht Mountain which occupied the northeas tern part of the Sharri Mountains and range in altitude 480 - 2092 m (Maja Pashallare). These terrains are rich with rare endemic and relict species to the Balkans and that species have been preserved very well especially at the valley of the Rusenica. During research the Mushtisht Mountain flora’s, we found five new taxons for Kosova’s flora, as such: Allium margaritaceum Sibth. et Sm. Campanula glomerata L. subsp. serotina Walt, Euphorbia oblongata Gris, Hieracium heldreichii Hayek, and Mycelis sonchifolia (Panc.) Hayek.
