Abstract

The world today is characterized by globalization, the development of information technologies and diversity of values, so people's activities in a wide variety of fields are expanding, but the boundaries between them are becoming more and more uncertain. Different fields are converging. Today, knowledge transfer is not possible an individual must be able to apply knowledge, use skills and show attitudes in complex ways to solve problems in real life situations. The current competence is the ability to adequately use learning outcomes in a given context, therefore it is important to reduce fragmentation, passive learning disconnected from real life situations, as well as to lessen the development of isolated skills. Succession and integrity are the basic principles upon which the new study content should be based. The purpose of this study is to identify the current situation around study course differences and areas of convergence as well as to evaluate the impact of convergence on the development of students' competences, thus strengthening the linking of new skills and knowledge. The task of the study is to analyze the possible convergence of study subjects in different study topics. If learning content involves content that focuses both on the student's ability to use knowledge and skills in a variety of situations and develops and strengthens skills based on values will, the study process will result in acquired competencies. To summarize the problem, the object of the research is convergence as a modern phenomenon, which increasingly causes a problematic situation in the study environment. The subject of this study is the fusion of study subjects. In order to objectively and systematically analyze the communication content (text, image and expression representations of the problem), a content analysis has been selected as the Research Methodology. Methods of collecting and researching data are gathering and collecting information based on systematic analysis of scientific research and publicly available information. Understanding the convergence of different fields makes it possible to identify problems faster; analyze and evaluate situations, act and apply effective problem solving strategies in complex situations, thus purposefully creating new ideas and innovative solutions.
