THE MUTUAL RELATIONS BETWEEN LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECT DOCUMENTATION STAGES IN CZECH REPUBLIC-S LEGISLATION
Abstract
In order to implement Building Information Modeling Technology into Czech RepublicпїЅs Legislation, there emerged need to define the most effective way to set proper data structure, requested information and constitute useful level of details within the existing Czech RepublicпїЅs Legislation. The most effective tool should be to employ the Level of Development, which is the interconnection of requested Level of Information and Level of Detail in different building life cycle stages. Every building information model consists of elements or groups of elements in various Levels of Development and also information about elements employed in modeling occur in different degrees of information reliability. Level of Development proved to be a very useful tool to determine information reliability needed for Building Information Management. This paper shows the possible way, how to define the needs to request on information in project documentationпїЅ stages defined in the existing Czech RepublicпїЅs legislation and by the Level of Development and their mutual relations. These mutual relations should be the basis of how to establish and adapt legislation to be ready to imply Building Information Modeling to processes used in the Czech Republic. This implementation will lead to enhancement of work effectiveness in construction industry.
