ANALYSIS OF THE ACCURACY OF THE POSITION OF THE DUAL-MODE SATELLITE RECEIVER ASHTECH GG24 USING THE SIMULATOR SPIRENT 6300M
Abstract
Considering the prospects and possibilities offered by Global Navigation Satellite Systems, it is sure that they will be still developing and more widely used in other parts o everyday life. The aim of this study was to analyse how accuracy a defined position could be determined by using the Spirent 6300M simulator. The tests were carried out on the basis of the Ashtech GG24 receiver which is fully integrated with GPS and GLONASS systems. Thanks to this combination the measurements of the receiver are more reliable and more accurate than with using only one of these systems. The measurements were performed at the Laboratory of GNSS signals in the Polish Air Force Academy in D?blin. This study described the construction of the receiver Ashtech GG24 and Spirent 6300M simulator. It consist of technical parameters, capabilities and description of accuracy computer programme, which is cooperating with the simulator. The average value of deviations fixed by receiver around the reference point were shown at the end of this study. There are also specifications for vertical and horizontal position and height. Using the Spirent 6300M simulator allowed to obtain high accuracy of coordinates of reference point placed in London in the United Kingdom. Another advantage was possibility of making own navigation scenario or using satellite data from the past. Occurrence of the GNSS errors (for example ionospheric and tropospheric errors) was manually operated. Deviations around known position were calculated by means of the specification of the World Geodetic System пїЅ84. All the measurements were analysed taking into account of relationship between deviations around known precision and DOP factor. Average deviations amounted |?????|?1,21??, |?????|?1,71??, |?????|?2,69??. On the other hand there weresituations when deviations has grown to tens of meters or even the receiver has lost its position.
