IMPROVEMENT OF OPEN CLEANING-UP SCHEMES OF BORDER MINERAL RESERVES
Abstract
Schemes of cleaning-up deep iron ore deposits using open pit mining method from mining-capital operations and land saving perspective are analyzed. It was established that the cleaning-up of border reserves with a pit side separation is expedient in the operation of shallow open pit mines. Cleaning-up of open pit mines with an increase in the resulting angle of slope of the side at the partial abandonment of transport communications is expedient at the transition stage from the auto truck-rail transport to the auto truck-conveyor or auto truck-skip transport. The scheme with the complete elimination of the transport pillars is advisable while building a transport conveyor gallery or skip rails on the pit side being cleaned up and while opening deep horizons of open pit mine. Existing inter-bench transshipment devices of Ukrainian production were analyzed. It was established that in the conditions of cleaning-up transport pillars by an open pit method, it is advisable to use skips as a load-carrying body of inter-benches reloaders. Rational parameters for the use of inter-benches loaders of new design are defined.
