CADASTRAL DATABASE AND COMMUNICATION CHANNELS OF THE REAL ESTATE CADASTRE IN SLOVAKIA
Abstract
In recent years, the Cadastre of real estate in Slovakia focused on digitization and refinement of data as well as improvement and expansion of services related to provision of data from geodetic and descriptive information files. In 2015, territory of the whole state was covered by a coherent layer of vector cadastral maps; updated daily. Analog maps are no longer used. All property rights are registered in owner's folios. The current open cadastral system became an integrated and modular service that utilizes data stored in a common database with a consistent user access channel. Completion of digitization of cadastral data introduced the possibility of improving the cadastral database and electronic services for both citizens and surveyors. Everyone can view the cadastral data free of charge; multiplatform solutions include mobile applications as well. In this paper we present the current status indicators of the geodetic and descriptive information file as well as the system of applications and services for the public and for surveyors performing geodetic and cartographic work.
