Abstract

The new 7-[2-hydroxi-3-(4-acethyl-amino)-phenoxy-propyl]-8-R-1,3-dimethyl-xanthine derivatives have been synthesized in order to increase the pharmacological properties of theophylline. A QSAR study on pharmacological properties of some new xanthine compounds have been realized to establish the most favorable structural modifications for increase the action selectivity on cardiovascular system. Favorable influence of the $\beta$-blocking sequence in 7 position of the xanthine ring has been established.
