OBSERVATIONS ON THE CARABID SPECIES (COLEOPTERA-CARABIDAE) EXISTING IN THE APPLE FRUIT TREE PLANTATIONS
Abstract
Carabids are an important family of predatory species that regulate harmful insect species from fruit plantations. The researches made clearly show the structure of the taxa, their dynamics and their abundance. In order to collect the biological material from the apple fruit tree plantations, were used soil traps type Barber, which in each of the two years of research (2017-2018) was represented by six traps placed at ground level in the row of trees, and as a liquid we used a salt solution with 25% concentration. Each year, five harvests were carried out between May and August, when the salt solution was completed or replaced, and the samples taken were labeled and brought to the laboratory for determination. From the biological material collected, the carabid species were retained, which were then determined and inventoried.Throughout the observation period, there have been collected specimens belonging to carabide species that have a diverse diet regime, meeting both phytophagous and zoophagous species.Analyzing the collected material, it was found that the most frequently collected species were: Carabus coriaceus L., Pseudophonus rufipes Mull., Formicomus pedestri Rossi, Harpalus distinguendus Duft.
