INVESTIGATION OF PROCESS OF STEEL PILES VIBRODRIVING
Abstract
Vibration driving of piles into a soil is a complex mechanical process, accompanied with such phenomena, as a changing of structure of soil surrounding the driving element, soil liquefaction, decreasing of friction forces between soil and surface of the driving element. During vibratory driving of sheetpiles and piles the vibrations arise in the surrounding soils. The effect of these vibrations on closely located buildings or structures may lead to damage or destruction due to additional uneven ground settlement, lifting or bulging of the soil with a loss of its stability, the vibration on the structure, etc. To check the parameters of arising vibration of surrounding soil using special dynamic modulus of Plaxis program is proposed in this work A vibration method is used for driving of elements with the comparatively small cross section area (such as steel sheet piles and pipes) and not limited length. When periodically changing axial force is acting on the driving elements there is possibility of loss of dynamical stability of element because of parametric resonance. Such possibility appears when motion of element bottom end is obstructed by the layers of very hard soil or because of densification of the liquefied sandy soil after technological pause in vibrodriving. In given work it is suggested examination of pile dynamical stability. The possibility of origination of dynamical instability and condition of parametric resonance is examined on the models of pile as a perfectly solid and as a flexible beam.
