ANALYTICAL AND SIMULATION METHODS OF STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL ANALYSIS OF SOFTWARE SYSTEMS WITH PRIORITY MANAGEMENT OF HETEROGENEOUS LOAD
Abstract
Most modern software systems use dozens of traffic types, which leads to the transmission of large volumes of data of three main types via communication channels: audio, video, and computer data. Such software systems are built on the basis of multiservice computer networks in which all data is transmitted over a single communication channel, which makes it possible to use common standards and simplifies the construction of a network capable of serving a large number of users. Thanks to these features, multiservice computer networks have become widespread and in demand among telecom operators. The use of heterogeneous traffic and a constant increase in its volume leads to toughening the requirements for quality of service (QoS) in software systems built on the basis of multiservice computer networks. The following tasks were posed and solved within the framework of the article: a structural and functional analysis of software systems with priority management of heterogeneous load was performed, analytical and simulation models of multiservice computer network nodes were developed; the results of experiments conducted in the simulation environment of General Purpose Simulation System are given under the assumption of various combinations of the laws of distribution of time intervals between receipt of applications and their processing time for models with static and dynamic priorities; recommendations are made on the application of service disciplines with dynamic priorities to better provide QoS in software systems built on the basis of multiservice computer networks.
