ROBOTIC COMPLEX FOR AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS SORTING
Abstract
The article contains information on methods of agricultural products quality control, as well as on the model of a robotic complex designed for sorting potatoes. A distinctive feature of the proposed complex is using the methods of active non-destructive thermal control and technology of technical vision in the visible range of the electromagnetic spectrum, as well as in the near (NIR) and middle (MIR) ranges of the infrared spectrum. The complex is based on using a roller conveyor providing rotational and translational movement of potato tubers through control zones, which also include units of active thermal and ultraviolet effect. All elements of the complex are designed in such a way that the reflected radiation from them is minimized. The regime parameters of heat effect are chosen by using mathematical modeling methods and the results of experimental determination of the thermophysical characteristics of both healthy plant potato tissues and tissues which have damaged zones obtained as a result of phyto-diseases or mechanical influences. The complex will allow detecting both surface and subsurface defects with a probability of not less than 90 %.
