Abstract

Surveying stability monitoring of hydraulic structures are an integral part of their safe operation, warning of man-made, environmental emergencies. In most cases, such facilities are not typical objects, and, therefore, blind guidance of regulatory documents cannot provide an opportunity for operational stability control. The problem of designing observation stations in hydraulic structures is extremely relevant in this regard. This article summarizes the experience of conducting systematic high-precision observations and research works at the tailings dam of Erdenet Mining Corporation for the period from 1990 to 2019. The problems of determining the deformations on the surface of the dam are actualized: The Influence and consideration of atmospheric corrections during high-precision measurements by phase-rangefinder, the interdependence of the root-mean-square elevation error and the passport RMS per level double kilometer. A modern view is presented on the organization of high-precision observations at the dam of The Erdenet Mining Corporation tailings, Mongolia.
