The article purpose is to study the megapolises' emergence history, to identify these giant cities problems characteristic, to study solving ways most important, characteristic problems, their generalization and systematization for possible application. The analysis main method was the dialectical method, and such special research methods as the analysis, synthesis, comparative-historical, problem-chronological, actualization methods, concrete and logical analyses method and some others were used.
