Abstract

The original method for the assessment of risk of geodynamic processes in mountain areas was developed. The proposed indices are as follows: relief structural stages, degree of tectonic break, stru ctural intersection nodes of faults, tectonic valleys, the intensity of slope processes, permafrost f eatures, and landscape differentiation of the territory. The geodynamic indices were estimated with factor maps of the GIS-project using the analysis of morphotectonic block structure, and the field geomorphological and seismogeological techniques.
