ASPECTS REGARDING THE ASSESSMENT OF TECHNICAL INSTALLATIONS OPERATING IN ENVIRONMENTS WITH HAZARD OF EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES, IN ROMANIA
Abstract
In installations in which flammable substances are processed, transferred or stored, explosive atmospheres generated by flammable gasses, vapors and mists or combustible dusts can occur. The assessment of these installations and equipment within is very important in order to verify the implementation of measures that lead to minimizing the risk of ignition of explosive atmospheres and occurrence of an explosion. In Romania, technical installations that operate in environments with hazard of explosive atmospheres must be assessed in accordance with the norm NEx 01-06 / 2007. Evaluation of these installations is made through an on-site visit and on the basis of the technical documentation developed by the care of the user. Also in accordance with this norm, but taking into account the requirements of the applicable harmonized standards, legal persons performing activities of design, installation, maintenance and / or repair of these technical installations must have authorized personnel (trained and competent) and procedures / work instructions. The aim of this paper is to underline the important aspects related to evaluation, in Romania, of the technical installations operating in environments with hazard of explosive atmospheres.
