Abstract

The goal of this paper is to highlight problems of development modern approaches to design the ecological innovation systems on different levels of organization. There is investigation the role of environmental innovations in solving some ecological and economic problems for providing ecological safety and sustainable development. The functional model of the environmental innovation system has been developed. This model is based on system approach and analysis of innovation process. The unified structure of the global environmental innovation systems is presented. This structure is based on the hierarchical set of sub-systems and it is developed by decomposition of functions of environmental innovation system as well as analysis of states set of each component of this system. A mathematical toolkit for testing of the dynamic and static characteristics of the environmental innovation system has been formed. It provides optimal decision making in the process of environmental innovation system management.
