Abstract

Kosova has a significant resources of coal-lig nite, that is the mo st important energy resource, which supplies about 98% of total electricity production. During the process of electricity generati on amount existing plants release enormous quantity of ash, CO 2, NOx and SO 2.These discounts have impact in the air and water, and as well affecting the health of the population. The number of residents in the Obiliq Municipality and suburb is increasing with cancer an disease respiratory and ch ronic diseases. This is a result of dust release cancerogen that Kosova’s power plants and contaminated water. This situation is creasing worrying, therefore it is necessary to an action that is situation be more under controlled.
