Abstract

The article aims to develop the concept of environmental safety as a science and practice in the digital era in accordance with the goals of sustainable development. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the analysis of the development of new models for predicting environmental risks based on machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms. This includes forecasting climate change, air, water and other ecosystems pollution. Using the methods of systematic analysis and modelling of environmental safety as a complex social and economic phenomenon and a dynamic process, the article considers the ways of using risk assessment methods to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities related to environmental safety in the digital era. These methods can be used both separately and in combination to conduct a deep and comprehensive analysis of the topic of environmental security in the context of the rapid development of digital technologies. Research results: 1. The article presents an analysis of environmental safety as a field of science and practice in the digital era in accordance with the goals of sustainable development. 2. The concept of environmental safety as a field of science and practice in the digital age in accordance with the goals of sustainable development has been formulated. These concepts and trends are combined to create an integrated approach to environmental safety as a new discipline, including the development of new approaches to regulation and control, taking into account digital innovations. The practical significance of the study is to overcome key challenges and use opportunities for further development of environmental safety, which eliminates harmful environmental impact and maintains a balance between natural and anthropogenic components of the natural environment. Environmental safety restores the broken relationship between humans and nature and harmonises their coexistence.
