Abstract

The authors are aiming to review the work related to monitoring of environmental factors from Braila in Romania. To maintain a balance between the natural environment, its resources and the man, it is necessary to develop a strategic planning, so there can be always a stable relationship between natural habitat and the human population. This planned strategy elaborated to address the environmental issues was established at the Ministerial Conference "E nvironment for Europe" held in Lucerne, Switzerland, and is was governed by the Convention known as the Environmental Action Program for Central and Eastern Europe ", a framework document which forms the basis for action to governments and lo cal administrations of the European Commission and international or ganizations, financial institutions and private investors in the region. This paper uses both the tr aditional research methods as: historical analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction. Also are included research methods that travel from the abstract to the conc rete, comparative methods (in time and space). The major environmental objective is the improvement of the quality of life in Romania by providing a clean environment, to help raise the population's life, to improve its health, to conserve and improve the natural heritage that has been granted to Romania.
