POROSITY VARIATIONS OF THE MAIN DOLOMITE ROCKS IN THE P-1 WELL (W POLAND) IN THE SCOPE OF LOW-FIELD NMR
Abstract
The Zechstein Main Dolomite (Ca2) is one of the largest petroleum bearing formations in Poland. Numerous hydrocarbon deposits occur within Ca2 in the carbonate platform sediments of the Polish part of the Southern Permian Basin. Application of modern methods allows evaluation of porosity and pore size distribution and enhances the proper characterization of reservoir rocks in non-invasive way. The study concerns lowfield Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) measurements conducted on Ca2 carbonate rocks from P-1 well located in Gorzow Block (W Poland). In order to evaluate different types of porosity and pore size distribution variability, The Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill sequence (T2CPMG) experiments were carried out on 25 cylindrical core samples collected from the depth interval of 2630.5пїЅ2677.2 meters. Observations of thin sections made with polarized light microscopy provided a detailed petrographic characterization of samples. Results illustrate the porosity - depth trend and reveal the information about sedimentation environment-related porosity changes.
