VERIFICATION OF MODELS OF ENVIRONMENTAL ONLINE MONITORING
Abstract
A holistic approach to the design of ecological online services has been developed. The approach is based on the concept of the Internet of Things. Available online data includes local meteorological information and information on GPS coordinates of traffic flows. It allows to calculate in several seconds micro-weather characteristics, parameters of chemical and noise pollution of atmospheric air and parameters of algal processes of lakes and reservoirs. Verification of models of environmental online monitoring is a key issue to justify the scope of applicability of this type of monitoring. Special studies of meteorological, hydrological parameters were conducted. The accuracy of online calculations based on them was verified. The best match was found for online monitoring of the noise level generated by intensive traffic flows. The accuracy of calculating the concentration of pollutants in the air from traffic jams was satisfactory. The greatest difficulties appeared with the online monitoring of phytoplankton in reservoirs of the lake type. This is due to significant changes in both the temperature of the upper mixed layer and its thickness. The verification showed the applicability of the designed models of environmental online monitoring for calculating micro-weather characteristics in residential and recreational urban areas, for calculating noise levels and concentrations of pollutants from intensive traffic flows, and for estimating the concentration of plankton in lakes and reservoirs.
