The aim of the study was to evaluate the dynamics of the development of the specialistsпїЅ labour protection competence in the learning process. The methodological basis of the study included studies, analyses and evaluation of the relevant publications in the context of the competence of the specialists. Also taken into account were the authorsпїЅ personal reflections and experiences which were gained through working in various Latvian universities. The studyпїЅs data were obtained from 21 respondents - specialists studying part-time in the programme пїЅLabour protection and occupational safetyпїЅ, and who directly took part in the self-assessment of their learning outcomes.
