Abstract

In technical literature many specialized scientific materials are available which treat the elimination of solids and oil from water injection, the newest approaches being oriented towards the process with low power consumption as with most modern facilities in order to improve the available technologies. For groundwater, the analyzes that are carried out are to determine the degree of pollution with liquid or gaseous petroleum products. The natural state of the underground water is influenced by the characteristics of the rocks and subsoil that they cross. In some situations, strong interactions exist between naturally occurring compounds in groundwater and compounds from various sources of pollution. Depending on the topic, this article aims to show us how the disposal of solids and oil from water deposits are accomplished using flocculation. Flocculation represents an agglomeration of particles in colloidal solutions or suspensions, a coagulation process. The coagulation consists in increasing the dimensions of the dispersed phase by adhering or combining them. The water resulting from the exploitation of the ALPHA oil reservoir will be treated primarily to meet surface water discharge conditions, and only secondary to reuse it as steam production or reinjection into the reservoir. In the treatment process, no chemicals are used, only very low efficiency air- flotation cells (about 10% of the crude oil is removed).
