Abstract

Article describes the problematics of GNSS systems (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) and its use for creating an approach procedure for airport Nitra JanпїЅkovce. Paper is divided into four parts. First chapter devotes itself to general description of GNSS systems, specifically their history and technical characteristics of three the most widely known satellite navigation systems, including GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO, addicting also to the systems that make GNSS signal of these navigation systems more precise. The second chapter aims to bring us closer to the airport in Nitra, namely its characteristics, physical characteristics of the airport, obstacles around the airport, and navigation systems in the vicinity of the airport. The third chapter solves, the development of the process of non-precision approach to the airport Nitra with the help of GNSS systems. It brings us closer to the development process of an approach, namely the definition of the approach points in the horizontal and vertical level, whereby ending by definition of primary and secondary minimum obstacle clearance areas.
