Abstract

The paper presents the results obtained in the artificial reproduction of carp breeds (Cyprinus carpio): Frasinet, Ineu and Ropsa between 2015 and 2017. Carp used in artificial breeding experiments (body weight 4,5 - 8,0 kg / ex., 4-7 years old) were raised in the ponds within the experimental base of the Fish Culture Research and Development Station Nucet, Romania. For the induction of maturation and ovulation the carp pituitary extract (CPE) and Nerestin 6A were used. The carp pituitary extract (CPE) was given in a single dose in males (1 mg / kg body ?) and in a single dose in females (3 mg / kg body ?). The hormonal stimulation with Nerestin 6A in females was done in 2 doses (total dose = 0.2 ml / kg body weight, preparatory dose I - 20%, and after 12 hours, the second dose - the remaining 80%); males were also given a single dose (0.1 ml / kg body weight). Reproductive performance was assessed by analysis of the following indices: mean weights of females; the percentage of maturation of females; average spawning/matured female; percentage of eggs fertilization; percentage of hatching; the number of viable larvae / mature female; survival percentage from the fertilized phase to the viable larval stage. The experimental results were analyzed comparatively between the three carp breeds and the two hormonal products used. The analysis of the experimental data resulted in the efficacy of the Nerestin 6A hormonal product.
