Abstract

Nowadays, with the increasing construction of buildings, we can increasingly encounter ventilated facades. These structures gain space thanks to new anchoring materials and methods, but also their wide application in terms of architectural requirements. They also improve the thermal properties of the outer walls. The air gap layer helps with the continuous removal of moisture from the structure. And last but not least, the structure of ventilated facades very effectively contributes to increased noise protection. The double-shell fa?ade structure separates the indoor environment from the outside environment by two air-facing tiles between them located behind the thermal insulation layer. External ventilated airborne structures can be divided into two systems as a protective system and thermal insulation system. A protected series of layers (outer structure) has been designed and implemented without thermal insulation. The thermal insulation system is designed as (ventilated thermal insulation systems). From the point of view of building physics, the ventilated facade is considered as a whole up to the ventilated air layer with the planned thermal bridges. An insulating air layer that is connected to the outside may be poorly ventilated (ventilated insulating air layer) or strongly vented (the insulated air layer is vented). The contribution shows the possibilities of solution of ventilated facades with influence on the thermal technical characteristics of the envelope structures of the external walls of buildings.
