Abstract

Several soft-programs to reverse tomography data acquired on 2D panels, for transmitted seismic rays, were developed. The procedures are based on three concepts: graphic mediation of velocities (V) coupled with a system of correction factors to reconstruct the initial V distribution (Tomography Interactive Modeling-TIM), minimize velocities errors by applying matrix calculation (Matrix Calculus in Tomography -MCT) and graphic-analytical uncover of velocities from the periphery to the center of the examined panel (Velocity Delamination -VELDEL). Accuracy of these processing techniques is analyzed in relation with the seismic array covering the sides of the tomography polygon and with differentiation constituent velocities. Favorable results on models encouraged applications in practical perspectives for the country’s economy, exemplified here by measurements in Praid salt mine (100km NW of Brasov) and regarding the degree of homogeneity of the eastern versant of Vidraru dam - Southern Fagaras Mountains (60km N of Pitesti).
