Abstract

The article shows the selected aspects of the air temperature and air relative humidity changes caused by the heat emitted by people staying inside the selected sacral buildings. The air temperature and some other microclimate parameters change because of the heat emission from people staying inside rooms. There are shown exemplary results of the research conducted inside unheated or low-heated sacral buildings of the historical and modern construction. It is based on author's research conducted in Warsaw University of Technology and Cardinal Stefan Wyszy?ski University in Warsaw. Measurements were performed using termohygrometers and thermal imaging cameras in the aim to testing some microclimate parameters such as air temperature, air relative humidity, and temperature distribution on the wall surfaces. The tested objects have been located in the town of P?ock in the Masovian Voivodeship in Poland. The novelty is the research of the human heat emission in case of a big number of people staying inside sacral buildings. It can be useful not only for sacral buildings but also for the other large-volume buildings where the heat emission caused by people is significant considering heat balance of the room.
