DESIGN OF NANOMATERIALS BASED ON COMPLEX AL-ZR-CE-OXIDES FOR BIO ETHANOL TRANSFORMATIONS
Abstract
During the last decades, problems related to environmental pollution have become even more acute. Therefore there is a need for new sources of a clean energy. Steam reforming of alcohols, which are much morechemically active, proceeds at considerable lower temperatures. It is important also that alcohols produced from biomass (bio alcohols) can be considered as a renewable raw material. The aim of this work were the development of catalysts based on the complex oxides (ZrO2 - Al2O3 - CeO2) support and the study of obtained catalysts behavior in the reaction of ethanol steam reforming in a temperature range 200 - 400?C. We investigated the effect of preparation method, phase composition, calcination temperature and metal modification of the Zr-Al mixed oxides on their structural features and catalytic performance in bio ethanol conversion. ZirconiaпїЅalumina mixed oxides with different atomic ratios were prepared via solпїЅgel method. Physicochemical properties were determined using XRD, BET and FT-IR-spectroscopy. Catalytic activity and selectivity were investigated for ethanol conversion to ethylene, diethyl ether and acetaldehyde.
