Abstract

Selection of optimum support system for tunnels and underground opening is a multi criteria decision making pr oblem. In this paper, first, st ability analysis of access tunnel in gooshfill mine is done, then selection of support system for these tunnels by considering of economical cr iteria and technical criteri a by using ELECTRE method is presented. Criteria that are involved in d ecision making process are: displacement at roof, bottom and side of the tunnel, safe ty factor, cost, labor requirements and applicability of methods. It is concluded that the proposed support system determination is advantageous compared to other alternatives.
