ENVIRONMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE MINING DAMAGES REHABILITATION
Abstract
Region of Rehova is located on the North East of Albania. The Rehova mine is 27-km way from Korca region and approximately 14 km from the national road Korca- Erseka. The mine has an extension 1000 km and a falling 600m. Rehova mine from the administrative question belongs to Korca region. The mine is connected with non-asphalt road with national road Korca-Erseka. Most of the populated centers are Vithkuqi, Lubonja, Rroshanj etc. The population is taking care manly the animal husbandry. The relief is of alpine type and generally very difference crossed from the small rivers which and into the Osum River. The mine has the quota 950-1200 m. All the mine has a surface around 5km2 bordered in the north with Oprenja mountain, in the east with Qari mountains, in the South-East with plateau of Kolonja and in west with Ostrovica mountains. The entire region has in the center the Malingelo mountain 1766.8m high. The region takes place on the SE climatic zone of Albania with long winter and very could. The climate is Mediterranean influenced by continental climate. The temperature moves form –7o to +26o. The quantity of precipitation is 710- 1050mm. The vegetation is very developed and responds to transit zone where as conifer forest with pine is meet also the beech forestry. There is planted wheat, patatetous, maize, vegetables etc. The region has very developed water sources. The region is built from calcareous where the carst phenomena is very developed. The most important is strong water output of Vithkuqi, Mak\"erza. The water is drinkable and with very high quality. The agriculture land is divided in three types; mountains primitive, meadow salted and brown meadow.
