DATA SET ANALYSIS OF THE COMPOSITE MATERIALS WITH THIN PROFILE USING DESCRIPTIVE STATISTICS
Abstract
Composite materials are widely used in high-tech fields of industry, especially in the aeronautical and aerospace industry, land and water transport. Weight reduction, high creep resistance, very good damping deformations compared to traditional materials, represent some of the advantages for these materials- usage. The studies carried out aim to determine the evolution of the physical-mechanical characteristics of a composite material with a thickness of less than 1 mm, using descriptive statistics techniques. In this context, the following four differentiated systems were tested in the accredited laboratories: CM - continuous structure composite material, P1 joined panel (the upper mark on the weft direction and the lower one tilted at 45- - Method 1), P2 joined panel (the upper mark on the warp direction and the lower one tilted at 45- - Method 2), P3 joined panel (both marks on the weft direction). The analysis report drawn up for 13 variables with the help of a specialized software evidenced that the series are very homogeneous, with little variation, the average being representative. Also, 60% of the values of the studied characteristics are placed between the 75th percentile and the maximum value, and the boxplot graphs demonstrated a very low variability of the results. The subsequent experiments will be carried out under real conditions of use, the functional model being placed on an IAR330 or SOCAT helicopter.
