DISRUPTIVE TECHNOLOGY FACILITY OPTIONS IN A COMPLEX INFRASTRUCTURE ENVIRONMENT
Abstract
Subway construction in the central parts of cities requires the implementation of the latest technological advances in underground construction. These achievements relate to the construction of the main road arteries of the metro. Despite the implemented technical innovations in mass construction, problems need to be solved that require a creative approach for unique cases in technology and security. Risk cases along the subway route are most often concentrated in areas in contact with existing facilities and continuous traffic on the adjacent infrastructure. In these areas, problems arise with the security of underground structures both during construction and during operation. The most serious cases in practice are when crossing existing subway lines, as well as during the reconstruction of subways and subway stations under the main boulevards of the capital. Then it is necessary that the temporary steel facilities are not only an auxiliary part of the process of realization of technical solutions, but become a main component in solving the problems of security and risk in the stages of construction. The application of destructive technologies in the reconstruction of existing underground facilities requires a combination of the basic principles between bridge and tunnel construction. The combination of these principles leads to unique technical solutions for underground constructions in an infrastructure-saturated urban environment. Through the discussed geomechanical aspects with specific examples, the report aims to support the practice of mathematical modeling and construction in an urban environment of underground metro facilities.
