CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING THE REGIME OF THE PHREATIC GROUNDWATER FROM THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN BARAGAN AREA IN THE DRY YEAR 2007
Abstract
The phreatic groundwater from the Ialomita – Buzau river basin are quartered in the sedimentary formations of Quaternary age, starting with the ones of the lower Pleistocene and finishing with the Holocene and recent ones. The most important phreatic aquifer layers, from the point of view of the water resources quartered in permeable and raw formations (gravels, blocks, raw and average sands), are spread in the Buzau dry delta area, in the divagation plain between Buzău and Călmăţui and in the alluvial plain and terrace areas of the main rivers: Danube, Ialomiţa, Buzău and Călmăţui. The depth of the phreatic groundwater presents time and space variations. The variation of the phreatic groundwater level takes place under the corroborated action of several factors natural and antrophic determinants and is supervised through the measurements made in the drillings of the National Hydrogeologic Network. The main natural factors that influence the phreatic waters regime are the climatic ones: the atmpspheric precipitations and air temperature. In the paper, on the basis of the data obtained from the measurements made in the drillings of the National Hydrogeologic Network, is presented the situation of the phreatic groundwater from the Ialomiţa-Buzău river basin in the dry year 2007 comparative with the multiannual regime.
