FINANCIAL ENGINEERING IS A TOOL FOR ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF A COMPLEX PROJECT FOR DEVELOPING A GAS FIELD AND CREATING A GAS PIPELINE
Abstract
Relevance of results and scope. Energy, which determines the progress of social production, continues to have an adverse impact on the environment. The result of any energy entity is to provide consumers with high-performance ecologically pure kind of energy that objectively defines influence of industrial activities of energy companies on the environment: emissions of pollutants into the atmospheric air, effluents of polluting substances in water objects, placing of production wastes, and also negative effects of noise, heat, vibration, electromagnetic fields. The problems of using large volumes of surface water by thermal power plants, discharge of pollutants into waste water, and thermal pollution of reservoirs that cause dangerous violations of their condition also require economic understanding. Purpose of the study. Justify and evaluate measures to reduce the environmental load on the hydrosphere in the area of the location of thermal power plants, related to the dynamics of water intake and discharge to water bodies. Develop a methodology for determining the effectiveness of implementing a new resource-saving technology. The essence of this technology is to use deep-softened river water to feed the circulation system, purge the volume necessary to feed the heating network. The method provides for softening of purge water due to reagent decarbonization in an alkaline medium of additional process water, its subsequent three-stage sodium cation and mixing with recycled water before evaporative cooling in cooling towers. Description of the methodology. The methodological basis of this research is the work in the field of evaluating the economic efficiency of investment projects implemented at industrial facilities. The project implementation phases are considered. Determining the financial efficiency of the project for implementing a new water use system at thermal power plants using "dynamic" methods based on discounting cash flows taking into account the time factor. Assessment of the stability of the investment project of deep softening of river water for feeding the circulation system and purging in the required volume under the conditions of the proposed water-chemical mode of operation using the CPV model. Main results. The economic efficiency of implementing the deep softening technology of river water for feeding the circulation system and purging in the volume necessary for feeding the heating network was evaluated. The economic effect is expressed in reducing operating costs, reducing payments for exceeding the standard indicators of pollutants in the purge water of the circulation system, reducing the cost of purchasing process water and wastewater disposal. The economic efficiency of the circulation system operation in the conditions of the proposed water-chemical mode of operation is proved.
