ECONOMIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
Abstract
The change in the composition and structure of the formation of demand for factors of production depends on the growth or decline in the economic efficiency of the sale of goods, work, services or from the successful achievement of socio-economic goals. In the first case, replacing some of the resources employed in the production cycles allows the economic entity to get an extra financial effect in the form of profit, and to the state in the form of tax payments. In the second case, the economic effect cannot occur or it will be insignificant, and the project implementation will increase the costs of the business entity or the region and will allow solving those significant tasks such as improving environmental indicators of the environment. Expanding the involvement of such an industrial resource as shale gas, the formation of its resource market requires a serious analysis of the economic and environmental development processes of the gas and shale industry. The results of the analysis showed that the development of the gas shale industry in European countries and China is hampered not only and not so much due to complex geological features, but also because of insufficient development of project financing for the development of infrastructure and dangerous harmful effects on the environment. Expansion of the production of shale gas can cause a transformation of the economic security system.
