Abstract

This work, which was conducted in the Chettaba forest, focuses on the sylvicultural treatment of Pines during its first natural regeneration. It will ultimately emphasize the importance of forestry sustainability. This sustainability consists of the rational management that should begin right after the exploitation as well as during all stages of growth. In fact, it appears that during the past couple of years, forestry exploitation seems to occur in destructive and illegal ways and that restoring processes are not properly applied in regard to the rhythm of the actual exploitation. So, it?s became aware of the need to take care the sustainable management of its forests in order to prevent them from prematurely disappearing. Thus, there is an essential need for a study to be conducted in this regard to understand the existing problems and to bring about proposals on the appropriate intervention in logged surface. Analyses results show a mid viability for the forest and more of individual listed present instability which is indicated by a medium stability of forests stand?s quality (PHF = 233, H/D = 36.58), a high rate of mortality = 25.45% and a very low future potentiality of regeneration = 278.50%). Also, the intervention is necessary to ameliorate the place in order to avoid the regression of its viability.
