RATIONAL USE AND EFFECTIVE WASTEWATER TREATMENT OF THE AMANGELDY DEPOSIT

Abstract

The rational use of natural resources is an urgent task not only in the oil and gas sector, but also in all sectors of production. This paper presents procedures for the preparation and purification of extracted oil-containing wastewater and stormwater from suspended solids, as well as various salts dissolved in water with the supply of coagulant solutions: iron sulfate or aluminum sulfate and soda ash to adjust the pH value. The conducted research and measures for the treatment of stormwater and carbonaceous wastewater at the Amangeldy gas condensate field have shown positive results. The purified water can be used for various purposes and the paper suggests using it for own needs of the field, for example, for watering and irrigation of green areas and the surplus can be used for growing melons, etc. The proposed purification technology consists in the use of aluminum sulfate and soda ash to increase the efficiency of purification of oil-containing wastewater and stormwater, as well as the use of purified water for own needs of the field, which will lead to savings and rational use of natural resources.
