THE INFLUENCE OF CHEMICAL COMPOSITION OF ASH ON THE COAL GASIFICATION PROCESS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Bielowicz, Barbara)

The coal gasification process is currently developed as one of clean coal technologies. Gasification is a high-temperature process (above 800 °C) in which the coal reacts with a gasifying agent, e.g. air, oxygen, or water vapor. As a result, under conditions of elevated temperature and pressure, chemical bonds in the molecular structure of coal break up and the mixture of water vapor, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen, commonly known as syngas, is produced. The chemical composition of the obtained syngas is de...

THERMAL UTILIZATION OF SEWAGE SLUDGE IN THE PROCESS OF STEAM CO-GASIFICATION WITH COAL TO HYDROGEN-RICH GAS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-11-20, Smolinski, A., Howaniec, N.)

Growing energy demand, depleting fossil fuels resources as well as ecological concerns are the main rationales behind the research focused on broader utilization of biowaste, e.g. sewage sludge in energy systems. Gasification as an alternative to combustion offers increased efficiency, lower negative environmental impact and wider application range of the main product ? synthesis gas ? in power generation and chemical synthesis. It is also considered as one of the most viable options for hydrogen production, as an...

THE PENECONTEMPORANEOUS TRANSFORMATION AND PHYSICAL-MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF TERRIGENOUS ROCKS

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Baibatsha, A., Bekbotayeva, A, Satibekova, S.)

With clastic sedimentary rocks associated deposits of ore, oil-and-gas, coal and non-metallic minerals. They are located in a variety of different age strata structural-tectonic stages. Sedimentary rocks composing these fields are often framework rocks or minerals themselves are economic minerals. Depending on the age and affinity to specific structural and tectonic tier breeds are in various stages of the penecontemporaneous transformation. By the degree of transformation of organic matter in the clastic rocks ca...

APPLICATION OF ADAPTIVE CONTROL METHODS IN COAL PROCESSING INDUSTRY

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Kacur, J., Durdan, M., Flegner, P., Laciak, M.)

The coal processing industry uses a various technology for the process control. Various devices and control systems there can be implemented. With the support of automation, the production of final product can be more effective. Modern control system requires an advanced control algorithm on a several control levels (i.e. stabilization, optimization). The paper focuses to the process of coal combustion and coal gasification. Primarily two processes are examined i.e. underground coal gasification (UCG) and coking. ...

THE COAL SEAMS OF THE VOLGA-URAL REGION (RUSSIA): COMPOSITION, TRACE ELEMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF THE FORMATION

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Khasanov, R., Gafurov, S., Mullakaev, A.)

There is a growing interest in the world in coal as critical raw materials. Coal also can be a carrier of many valuable components. An important geological and geochemical task is to find out the conditions for their accumulation in the coal. The complex of trace elements including group of rare earth elements (REEs) has been studied in the coal seams of the Volga-Ural region (Russia). The article is considered the main regularities and reasons of the concentration of trace elements in coal seams. In the Volga-Ura...
