EVALUATION OF THE CO2 EVOLUTION RATE IN ORDINARY CHERNOZEM UPON CONTAMINATION WITH ANTIBIOTICS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Dobrovicescu, A., Nastase, G., Stefanescu, M. F., Serban, A., Sobolev, N.)

Indices of soil respiration are widely used for evaluation of ecosystem productivity as well as for analysis of activity of soil microbiocenosis. Evolution of carbon dioxide can be an objective index of decomposition of soil organic matter and permits to characterize one of the most important aspects of biological cycle. This article analyzes dynamics of carbon dioxide evolution rate in ordinary chernozem upon contamination with antibiotics (ampicillin, streptomycin, tylosin, tromexin, aliseryl) in the concentrati...

BIODIAGNOSTICS OF CONSEQUENCES OF SOIL CONTAMINATION WITH MODERN BIOCIDES

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Skotnicova, I., Chudikova, B., Waldhans, M., Dragan, V.)

Variations of biological properties (3, 30, 90 days) of chernozem under the impact of antibiotics (ampicillin, streptomycin, tylosin) and pesticides (systemic fungicide input) in the concentration of 500 mg/kg of soil have been studied in simulation experiments. Addition of biocides varies the enumeration of microorganisms and enzymatic activity of soils. Correlation analysis revealed positive interrelation between enzymes of the two considered classes (dehydrogenase, invertase) with enumeration of micromycetes (r...

THE IMPACT OF THE EXISTENCE AND OPERATION OF THE IMPOUNDMENT AT POSA ON THE CONTAMINATION OF WATER AND BIOTA

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Cech, V., Fazekasova, D., Krokusova, J., Blahut, M., Istok, R.)

The aim of this paper is to evaluate the negative impact of the impoundment Po?a on landscape adjacent to it. The impoundment is used for the deposition of coal ashes and other sludgy waste material from industrial processing of former Chemko Str??ske factory as well as the deposition of sludge water from waste water treatment plant. Both published and unpublished materials were used to support our research. The field trip involved data collection and was designed to find out the real condition of the impoundment ...

MAPPING LEAD CONTAMINATION IN THE DRAINAGE NETWORK OF THE PANENSKY CREEK (THE CZECH REPUBLIC)

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Tumova, S., Elznicova, J.)

The Panensk? Creek has been impacted by Pb pollution from local factories in the period of little environmental concern, which has not yet been documented completely in state registry of environmental risks in the Czech Republic. A lead-glass processing factory in Jablonn? v Podje?t?d? was one of the main industrial Pb pollution sources in the Panensk? Creek catchment. It was in operation in 1955-2002. To localize the original and still active pollution source in this area, we used geographical information systems...

APPLICATION OF BIOREMEDIATION IN THE DECONTAMINATION OF POLLUTED SOIL WITH PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Popa, R. G., Schiopu, E. C., Pecingina, I.R., Cazalbasu, V. R.)

The exploitation of petroleum deposits in Romania within the ?icleni Petroleum Structure is based on the technological process consisting of drilling for exploration (exploration wells) or for extraction (extraction wells) in three phases. As a consequence of the direct or indirect discharge of crude oil and salted water, the quality of the soil and of the groundwater is affected by petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorides, gases and other organic compounds. Biodegradation is an effective method for decontamination of so...

SOIL CARBON AND SEWAGE WATER

(STEF92 Technology, 2018-06-20, Uhlirova, L., Jendzelovsky, N., Vecera, Z., Hawrylo, P., Bednarski, A.)

The soil carbon pool plays a major role in the global carbon cycle, in the context of climate change. Small changes in the soil carbon pool can increase or decrease greenhouse gas. One of the ways to mitigate to rise in atmospheric CO2 is sequestration of C by soils. In the SW of Romania, in Timis county, there are 32 industrial zootechnical piggery complexes, with a daily number of 449904 per capita. From these complexes results about 5.7 mill m3/year sewage water, which produced by biochemically transformation 2...
