A computer programme aiding the diagnostics of the devices in the marine power plant and operation management of this power plant on the fishing vessel of medium size have been characterized. The programme is installed on the Dutch fishing vessels (Fig. 1) of 40 m length and gross tonnage just above 400 RT, with 5-7 persons of crew (skipper, mechanic and fishers).
