The purpose of the study was to present a case study on the parameters of photovoltaic systems installed on different types of roof. These research studies were conducted in the Laboratory of Renewable Energy at the University of Pite?ti.The case study analyzed the production of electricity for different photovoltaic systems, in terms of construction and placement.Mainly, the parameters of these systems were checked in the same weather conditions, such as: temperature, humidity, solar radiation and the unit of are...

ANALYTICAL AND NUMERICAL METHODS FOR EVALUATING THE TANK ROOF OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Tarasenko, A., Chepur, P., Gruchenkova, A.)

In the paper, it is proposed to perform a comparative analysis of the strength and stability calculations for the VST-20000 stationary roof by using two methods. The first method would be the one of structural mechanics described in [1, 2], and the second one is a numerical method performed in the ANSYS software complex. The finite element model of the VST-20000 roof was used to calculate the stationary roof of the tank in ANSYS, which implements the finite element method. The tank computer model represents the sy...
