THE VISUAL ASSESSMENT OF THE CONDITION OF A SHAFT LINING AND REINFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT USING A VIDEO MONITORING SYSTEM

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Jaskowski, W., Lipecki, T., Cwiakala, P., Matwij, W.)

The paper presents made for Salt Mine ?Wieliczka?: . It was used during the monitoring of sealing the rock around the mine shaft "Kosciuszko", and now serves for periodic visual inspection. Due to the fact that ongoing work injection may lead to deformation of the shaft lining and reinforcement the system that allowed real-time monitoring of the shaft was built. The processing of data obtained from recorded movies and photos gives also possibilities to generate a numerical model of the shaft in the form of a three...

FINITE ELEMENT METHODS TO EVALUATE FATIGUE LIFE FOR HYDROPOWER PLANT MAINTENANCE

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Dragoi, C., Piraianu, V. F., IRIMIA, P. C., Husar, C., GROVU, M.)

Fatigue damage is determined from time signals of loading, usually in the form of stress or strain. However, there are many design scenarios when the loading, or fatigue damage process, cannot easily be defined using time signals. In these cases the design/operation engineer usually has to use a test based approach to evaluate the fatigue life of the structure or the component. Alternatively, a frequency based fatigue calculation can be used where the loading and response are represented using Power Spectral Densi...

TELEMETRY MEASUREMENTS OF SHAFT TUBE INFLUENCED BY SEALING OF THE HOUSING

(STEF92 Technology, 2017-06-20, Jablonski, M., Jaskowski, W., Lipecki, T.)

The paper presents deformation of the housing and shaft reinforcement surveyed within the telemetry deformation monitoring system. Research was taken in the Salt Mine Wieliczka Museum, one of the most popular monuments in Poland, placed in 1978 on the original UNESCO list of the World Heritage Sites. Water leaking into Ko?ciuszko shaft posed a serious threat to museum and forced authorities to seal the housing with Jet-grouting method. Due to boreholes which were designed very close to the shaft, the material inje...
